I started 2, but I haven't gotten very far. Andy Serkis' "Everybody Walk the Dinosaur" was embarrassing, but the rest of the DLC and the Christmas DLC was pretty neat-o. I don't think the writing was anywhere near as consistently clever as 3's on the whole however, and when they reused that genius Pierce and Protagonist moment from 3 in the fourth game, twice in the same mission, it was dawning on me that they're running out of ideas very quickly. The character interaction is usually always very good though. At least they improved the minigames from 3. It could have used more of a focus in stead of padding out the map with variety games or minigames. It just becomes less interesting when they have you running this way and that way across a city in order to hack this or that. They reference events and retread the Saints canon a lot and parody all sorts of other games (most obviously Mass Effect). Writing was great in the first couple of hours, but it becomes clear that it's a steady decline from the opening mission.
